In England, Four Rivers BioEnergy announced that it has acquired the previously shuttered V-Fuels Biodiesel plant and 140-acre site in Northumberland . The new owners said that they will focus on waste cooking oil among other materials in restarting the multi-feedstock plant. The company said that it also would continue to develop a 130 Mgy corn ethanol project and a 35 Mgy soy biodiesel project co-located in Calvert City, Kentucky. The company said that project would open in 2010.
